Joe Murphy – Owner & Head Coach (picture and button)

Joe is the Owner / Head Coach of FitLife. Originally starting his coaching career in UK, Joe now coaches from Jersey as Director of Jersey CrossFit Gym. Joe has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and has studied under some of Europe’s leading Coaches and Therapists. He has 10 years of hands-on experience along with a complete passion for empowering people to take control of their health & fitness. Joe believes that physical fitness is a state of mind, and so encourages a holistic approach to training knowing the mental & emotional factors that contribute. Finding nutrition strategies, lifestyle balance and happiness is key, and is a resounding message in Joe’s coaching style along with an emphasis on actually enjoying the journey fom the beginning.



I believe in training that is functional to everyday life patterns. I make sure to teach the most modern up-to-date training methods, focusing on balanced training programs that help individuals live a more fulfilled and athletic life.  My sessions are done using whole-body movements, barbells, cables, kettlebells, free weights, ring suspenders, climbing ropes, as well as lots of other equipment that enhances functional stability. This system works because it, not only uses more muscle groups to adapt from such stimulus, but helps better condition the body from the stresses the environment can bring. I specialise in fat loss, muscle gain, sports conditioning (particularly football), CrossFit and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) methods.


I set precise goals to educate you on the best ways to eat and train to give you a sense of purpose and direction. Most crucially, you see results! After an initial consultation your fitness program will be designed specifically for you, once I have identified what motivates you, your likes, dislikes and ultimately what you are looking to achieve. I will combine different methods and styles of training to suit you, enabling you to relax, feel comfortable and most importantly, enjoy our sessions as well as the rewards they will bring.
